Grand Canyon

A chasm carved by patience and time—277 miles of geological storytelling where two billion years of Earth history lie exposed in horizontal bands of limestone, sandstone, and schist. The Colorado River winds jade-green through the canyon floor, a ribbon of motion in a landscape of stillness. Stand at the rim and the silence is profound, broken only by the wind carrying the scent of juniper and the distant call of a raven. This is the terrain of Powell's 1869 expedition, of river runners and poets, of the Great Unconformity where ancient layers turned sideways and vanished—a place that rewrites your sense of scale. The canyon doesn't reveal itself all at once. It unfolds in layers, in light, in the slow accumulation of moments that make you realize how small and how lucky you are to stand here.
